We are looking for an Intern Business Analyst to join our team and support day-to-day business operations and continuous improvement of laboratory information systems.
You will work closely with laboratory users, Business Analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze existing processes, support system-related requests, and help maintain reliable and well-documented workflows.
Job responsibilities
Requirements & Documentation
- Support Business Analysts in gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Help create Jira tasks, acceptance criteria, and related documentation.
- Maintain Confluence pages, user guides, and process documentation.
- BAU & User Support
Support day-to-day business and system-related requests.
- Investigate user-reported issues and help coordinate their resolution.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest possible improvements.
- Testing & Acceptance
Perform manual testing of new and updated functionality.
- Prepare and execute test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Verify that functionality meets acceptance criteria and provide feedback on issues.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Analysts, developers, laboratory teams, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to system improvements and new functionality.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Current students and recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
- 0–2 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related field. Relevant academic or internship experience is also considered.
- Conversational level of English and Russian languages;
- Basic understanding of Business Analysis principles and software development processes.
- Familiarity with process modeling and diagramming techniques, such as BPMN, flowcharts, process diagrams, and UML.
- Basic understanding of data modeling and ERD (Entity-Relationship Diagrams).
- Basic knowledge of Python or another programming language, with the ability to read and understand simple code.
- Comfortable using GenAI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to support everyday work.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with system administration, configuration, or user support.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience working with enterprise or domain-specific software systems.
