Frontend (React & TypeScript) Intern

BostonGene is a pioneer company that uses biomedical software to identify new and personalized treatment options with next-generation multi-platform analytics, improving and optimizing cancer patient outcomes. BostonGene’s cloud-based platform integrates multiple AI- based molecular and immune profiling techniques that comprehensively analyze the tumor, microenvironment, and host immunity.

We develop a distributed information and analytical system that provides oncologists with the necessary data for diagnosis and personalized treatment of patients.

Job responsibilities

• Create responsive web pages based on design requirements;
• Assist in implementing interactive UI components and fixing layout issues;
• Write clean and readable code following team coding standards;
• Work with existing codebase to add new features and improve current functionality;
• Fix bugs and troubleshoot front-end issues with guidance from senior developers when needed;
• Test web pages across different browsers and devices to ensure consistent behavior;
• Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback provided by the team;
• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement new features;
• Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the application's functionality.

Required qualifications

• Student of the 3rd or 4th year of study, Computer Science degree preferably;
• Good knowledge of Russian and English
• Knowledge of React, familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, or MobX;
• Knowledge of HTML basics and CSS fundamentals, we use SCSS;
• Knowledge of JavaScript, will be nice to have some idea of TypeScript basics;
• Will be great if you are familiar with Node.js (just a little bit will be fine);
• You have to have heard something about testing your code;
• Experience with GenAI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini;
• Familiarity with UI frameworks such as Ant Design (Antd) or Material UI (MUI);
• Experience working with GitHub or GitLab;
• Experience building simple backend applications in any programming language.
